In the four-part series, he says: "Wherever we went, the paparazzi were there before we got there. These very private personal moments became public property and we were just dumbfounded how this could be happening."
Williams added: "I bumped into a guy who’s a paparazzi and he told me it was Geri doing it. Now I don’t think that’s true for one second but at the time I did believe it."
He also reflected on what did to his mental health: "It just goes to show what being in the spotlight can do to your psyche when you can’t trust anybody and it ruined in some way the memory of such an important part of my life and such a joyous occasion."
The series detailed their relationship extensively including never before seen footage of a holiday from Williams' personal collection with him praising Halliwell as "very very easy" company.
The documentary also explores how Williams used their relationship as inspiration for his single Eternity.
Halliwell previously discussed their time as a couple during an appearance on Piers Morgan's Life Stories.
During the interview, she said: "I was worried I’d get fat. I would binge and then feel fatter and would make myself sick. It was awful. Robbie knew about my bulimia and he advised me to get help. He told me to go to rehab and that possibly saved my life. The bulimia would have got worse without it. I will always be grateful to him, always."
She also said they grew close because of their mutual time in the spotlight: "It was a very poignant friendship. I was lonely and felt he was the only person on the planet who could understand me because of his experiences with Take That. We understood each other. But I didn’t really go out with him. I am happy and healthy now."
Williams has been married to actor Ayda Field since 2010 while Halliwell has been married to Red Bull Formula 1 boss since 2015.
