Rochelle sucking snot from baby's nose isn't a big deal

Rochelle Humes has always been very open about the trials and tribulations of motherhood with her fans. Who could forget the time she turned her daughter's dehydrated umbilical cord into a piece of art?

The 28-year-old Saturdays singer has now admitted that she removed the snot from daughter Valentina's blocked-up nose with her mouth, and although the practice has divided some fans on social media, it's actually one of a number of common approaches for lots of parents.

In an Instagram video with the hashtag #MUMLIFE, Rochelle explained: "Just put Valentina to bed, she's not been very well actually the past couple of days, she's teething, and got a cold and everything.

"So bunged up that last night, wait for it, I sucked the snot out of her nose. Yeah.

"The joke of it is that she actually looked at me like, 'Mum, what on earth are you doing to me? Get off me. This is disgusting.' And I'm sort of looking at her like, 'I've just tasted snot for the first time'."

The 28-year-old star and former JLS singer husband Marvin Humes welcomed Valentina in March this year, while their first daughter Alaia-Mai was born in 2013.

Earlier this month, Rochelle got emotional as she shared a picture of Alaia-Mai preparing for her first day at school in a sweet snap on Instagram.
