Yahoo News Rocketman's Taron Egerton talks "electric" sex scene with Richard Madden in Elton John biopic
Despite fears that Rocketman had cut an integral sex scene, Taron Egerton has promised fans that they will get to see Elton John and John Reid sleep together in the upcoming film.
Following on from director Dexter Fletcher's insistence that the film of Elton's life will be a "no holds barred musical fantasy", Rocketman's lead has spoken out about the 'electricity' of his intimate scenes with co-star Richard Madden.
Egerton, who will play Elton in the upcoming film about his life, told Attitude that he approached the love scene with the same "care and affection" as he would if it was his own experience of "falling for somebody".

"The rawness of that experience, the fear of that experience, but also the joy of the experience of Elton's first kiss... it's electric, it's exciting, your stomach is doing somersaults," he explained.
Opening up about his and Madden's approach to playing the couple on screen, Taron said that they played it as though it was "beautiful, because it should be".
"We didn't want to play like they were a couple who were eventually going to fall apart, we wanted to play it like two guys in their early 20s who are falling in love and who are incredibly sexually attracted to each other," he said.
Rocketman – which Dexter has confirmed is not a biopic – will tell the story of the legendary singer's life and his transformation from Reginald Kenneth Dwight to his stage persona of Elton John, including his battle with drink and drugs and accepting his sexuality along the way.
Rocketman will be released in cinemas on May 24.
