Ronnie Wood's Pregnant Wife Leaves Rolling Stones Tour Through Zika Virus Fears

When Ronnie Wood’s pregnant wife Sally Humphreys left The Rolling Stones’ Tour in favour of returning to London, the rumour mill went into overdrive with speculation that Ronnie did not want her around whilst he was on the road.

However, the 68-year-old has hit back at the rumours and instead revealed the much more sensible reason why he and Sally decided to take precautions.

The Rolling Stones are currently in Brazil where there is a high risk of contracting the Zika virus, which is transmitted by mosquitos and is a high risk for pregnant women.

Taking to his Twitter account, Ronnie ranted: “My wife @sallywood has not been ‘sent home’ from the @rollingstones tour! 1/3

"Our twins come first and we decided the Zika virus & excessive flying was too dangerous for them. 2/3

"Our baby GIRLS are growing beautifully thank you for the love! 3/3”.

Did he just confirm that he and Sally are expecting twin girls? BECAUSE WE THINK THAT HE DID.

Massive congrats, guys.

The rock legend also shared an image of his 38-year-old wife alongside a drawing that he did of Sally with their twins alongside the words 'my little stars’.

The Rolling Stones have three further shows in Brazil before moving onto Peru, Colombia, and Mexico with the the thirteen-date tour coming to an end on March 17th, meaning that he will be reunited with Sally and her bump in no time.
