Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy was named as the PGA Tour Player of the Year in America.
The 23-year-old from Northern Ireland became the youngest player to win award since Tiger Woods at age 21 in 1997.
He also was the third European to win in the last five years, joining Padraig Harrington of Ireland in 2008 and England's Luke Donald last year.
McIlroy won four PGA Tour titles this year, including the PGA Championship by a record eight strokes.
McIlroy said: "It's always nice to get recognition from your peers, the guys that you're trying to beat week in, week out,"
