Ross Kemp would rather talk about Libya than Danny Dyer
Ross Kemp can't escape being asked about EastEnders no matter where he goes.
The Grant Mitchell star sat down for his Good Morning Britain interview to talk about his new Libya documentary, but the line of questioning turned to Danny Dyer's situation.
The actor - whose show Ross Kemp: Libya's Migrant Hell airs tonight at 9pm on Sky1 - tried to steer the topic away from Dyer, saying that although he had sympathy for him, he had more pressing concerns at the moment.
Dyer is currently taking a short break from his role as Mick Carter, sparking an endless barrage of overblown stories speculating about his time off.
"I think the attention is something you have to balance as well as the long hours you do," Kemp said.
"I have sympathy for anyone who's in that job dealing with the pressures of that, but right now, my overwhelming sympathy is with what's happening in Libya."
Kemp also said that he wouldn't rule out another EastEnders return.
"Never say never," he commented. "I think it's great to have the option. It is there at the moment.
"It was 10 years of my life and I enjoyed it, and I've been back sporadically, and it's a great place to work."
An EastEnders source recently told Digital Spy that Dyer is expected to return to the soap 'within weeks', which is great news.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV.
