RuPaul's Drag Race UK has announced one of its guest judges – and it's exciting news.

Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams will be joining Mama Ru and Michelle Visage on the panel.

Speaking about being offered a slot on Drag Race UK, Maisie, who plays Arya Stark on Thrones, said it was a no-brainer.

"What I love the most about drag is the story of the drag queen behind the facade," she said. "I think that so much of drag comes from a place of real pain and seeing how that transforms into a character is so interesting to me. I love that about art and about drag."

Maisie is known to be a big fan of the franchise, often sharing references to the show on her social media.

The UK spin-off already has a pretty exciting line-up, with Alan Carr and Graham Norton being announced as celebrity judges.

Speaking about the tight security surrounding the show, Alan recently told Digital Spy: "It's really good, that's all I can say. It was like, no phones, the most securitied thing ever.

"It was like Fort Knox. It was amazing to be part of something like that and no-one is going to be disappointed. I'm going to get in to trouble even for saying that.

"I’ve signed something, I can't say anything."

It's been rumoured that Spice Girls singer Geri Horner and popstar Cheryl could also be sitting on the panel, but details are being kept very secret so far.

The show will be airing on BBC Three later this year, and will feature eight episodes.
