Stars from RuPaul's Drag Race UK will be headlining a charity event at the Hilton Southampton hotel at the Utilita Bowl.

The sizzling event, titled "Chef Whites to Heels," will be in partnership with the venue and features a show-stopping lineup, including drag stars Pixie Polite and Kate Butch, alongside the dynamic Cabaret Femme Fatale show.

The evening of entertainment, choreographed by Zoe Hanson, former Heart South Breakfast Show DJ, will put a sparkly spotlight on the issue of mental health in the hospitality sector.

It is raising money for the The Burnt Chef Project.

One lucky guest will walk away with an astonishing gift, courtesy of local celebrity private chef Jay Geddes, who will also be in attendance.

Lyns Design House is supporting the event, and tickets are available at just £40, inclusive of a welcome drink and tantalising canapes.

The Burnt Chef Project was launched in 2019 by Kris Hall, who recognised that many professionals in the hospitality sector needed assistance with their mental wellbeing.

A host of challenges in the industry, including long, unregulated hours, gruelling environmental conditions, and high-pressure expectations, led to four out of five professionals reporting at least one mental health issue during their career.

Starting with a small team, Hall spearheaded efforts to tackle mental health stigma. Now, five years later, The Burnt Chef Project is a global movement with 170 international ambassadors, offered mental health awareness training free of charge. With its growing influence in the hospitality industry, The Burnt Chef Project has supported over 7,933 people on their mental health journey.

Event organiser John Ray said: "The project's current goal is to provide a mental health lifeline for every Hospitality professional through an EAP (Employee Assistance Programme).

"To support this cause, I have launched Chef Whites to Heels with the aim of bringing awareness and raising funds. The idea is to not only to contribute to a meaningful cause but to offer a fantastic night out as well."
