Russian Traffic Police Rescue Young Girl Found Out Alone on Freezing Cold Night

Traffic police in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, rescued a five-year-old girl after they spotted her standing barefoot by the side of the road in the freezing cold.

Footage released by Russia’s Interior Ministry on January 22 shows the moment the two officers, reported to have been patrolling in the Irbeysky district, pulled over and put the child in their vehicle.

According to a statement released by the ministry, the girl’s mother told police she’d been working a night shift while her daughter was in the care of her adult brother. The brother, the mother said, went out when the child was asleep. When the girl woke up alone and frightened, she ran into the street, the ministry statement said.
