"Michael comes to us with deep global football experience with D.C. United, Inter Milan and most recently Miami FC," reports the Daily Star.

"Over his many years at Serie A's Inter Milan, he served various roles including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Strategy Officer and Co-CEO of San Siro Stadium. He has worn many hats and will continue to wear many more now that his hat will say Wrexham AFC. Also, Michael. We're out of hats. Could you get on that? Love, Rob and Ryan."

Excited about joining this ambitious endeavour, Williamson himself expressed in the announcement, saying: "I am delighted to join Wrexham AFC after their impressive back-to-back promotions to League One.

"I look forward to working with the dedicated management, staff, and players who have excelled since Rob and Ryan's arrival in 2020. As we plan for further growth and success on and off the pitch, we will prioritise maintaining our strong ties to the Wrexham community and our loyal fan base while enhancing our international appeal."

The euphoria is still palpable among Wrexham supporters after securing consecutive promotions under the stewardship of McElhenney and Reynolds, yet the club has witnessed several departures.

In a recent development, it was disclosed that Fleur Robinson would be parting ways with Wrexham after a three-year tenure overseeing operations at the Racecourse Ground.

In their homage, Reynolds and McElhenney expressed: "We are extremely grateful for all that Fleur has done in transforming the club over the past couple of years and we wish her every success with her future plans."

The club also confirmed the release of Ben Tozer, Luke Young, Aaron Hayden, Rob Lainton, Callum McFadzean, and Jordan Tunnicliffe following the expiration of their contracts.
