Rylan Clark To Present Xtra Factor With Matt Edmondson

Rylan Clark has been announced as the second host of this year’s Xtra Factor.

The presenter will join Matt Edmondson replacing last year’s presenters, Melvin Odom and Rochelle Humes.

Speaking about landing the gig on This Morning, Rylan joked that they will be like an ‘odd Ant and Dec’ or ‘Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood presenting the Brits.’

Rylan got emotional making the announcement, saying: “I’m very honoured and over the moon to say that after four years of being away, I’m back. I’m going back to hosting The Xtra Factor alongside the lovely Matt Edmondson, who’s great - we just get on so well. We are literally over the moon.”

Nicole Scherzinger was also on hand to congratulate Rylan saying that she can’t wait to work with him again.

Rylan started off his career on the show back in 2012 when he competed as part of Nicole’s boy’s category.

After leaving the show, he went on to win Celebrity Big Brother and has since then landed presenting jobs on Big Brother, This Morning and his own show, Up Late With Rylan.

He has reassured fans that this doesn’t mean he’ll be giving up any of the above, saying: “I love Big Brother with all my heart. I’m not leaving [This Morning]. I’m just going to be working like a dog!”
