Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder address dating rumours in separate statements

Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder have addressed rumours they could be a couple after speculation following the launch of their new TV show. The pair are the hosts of a new BBC Two travel show - Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour - which first aired on Sunday.

Ahead of the show airing, Rob spoke about their 'love' for one another, sparking speculation they could be an item. But Rylan has put the rumours to bed in a firm statement. He revealed they were just very close friends, writing on X: "The answer is no. I’m not dating Rob Rinder he’s one of my closest friends.

Rob, known as TV judge Judge Rinder, replied: "FACT." It comes after the pair sparked speculation after Rob's response to Rylan's post about the new show.

He wrote: "Tonight our new show starts at 9pm on BBC Two and iPlayer. It was so special. This man has become family to me because of this experience. It really is a show like no other and we're so proud of it. Hope you enjoy x."

The TV judge and Good Morning Britain presenter replied: "'Friendship may and often does, grow into love.' Byron."

Fans were quick to defend the stars and their friendship, saying they loved their relationship on screen and were a 'perfect pairing'

"Just watching the 1st episode - the way you 2 spark off each other is wonderful. It is so lovely to see 2 men who can show such a deep friendship and platonic love for each other. Reminds me of the friendship between @HairyBikers," another fan added.

Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour continues on Sunday, May 19 at 9pm on BBC Two. Viewers can catch up on episodes on BBC iPlayer.
