Rylan Clark has firmly declared he will never grace the dance floor as a contestant on ' Strictly Come Dancing ', asserting that "the answer is no".

The 35 year old television star, who presented spin-off show Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two between 2019 to 2023, maintains that it wouldn't be appropriate for him to compete, despite repeated offers to slip on his dancing shoes and vie for the Glitterball trophy.

As per Daily Star's Hot TV column, Rylan - who recently revealed a new look on social media - confirmed: "I get asked to do 'Strictly' all the time, but the answer is no. I wouldn't do it."

He also stated, "It wouldn't be fair for me to go back and compete. It would be the same as if I went back into 'Celebrity Big Brother '. It wouldn't be fair."

Having previously co-hosted 'It Takes Two' alongside Zoe Ball and later with Janette Manrara, Rylan thinks it would be peculiar to make a shift from being a host to becoming a contestant. Post stepping down from 'It Takes Two', the former 'X Factor' star confided in The Sun that he needed some personal time to contemplate his next career steps, reports the Mirror.

He elaborated: "I've been doing the same type of job for 10 years. For me, I just got to the point, 'What do I want? What would I like to be? Who do I want to be? What show do I want to do in the future? " He further added, "And it's really hard to try to work that out while you're doing different things. So I had to take that step back, have a minute to myself, let it breathe, and not turn on the TV and see yourself while you're watching what everyone else is doing."
