Rylan has worried fans after revealing he had an “extended trip” to hospital.

The TV star, 33, posted a picture on Instagram showing him in a hospital bed with a cannula in his arm.

He didn’t elaborate on why he had been in the hospital but confirmed that he would be missing his BBC Radio 2 show.

“Finally home after an extended trip to Costa del hospital,” Rylan told his 1.5 million followers on the site.

“Slowly on the mend. Won’t be on the wireless tomorrow. Resting up. Be back soon.”

Fans flocked to the comments section to ask how the star was doing.

Another asked: “Hope you are ok?”

“Aww babe hope you’re on the mend now!!” said another. “Take all the time you need, love you!”

“Stay strong mate, sending lots of love support and good vibes your way,” another person posted.

Plenty of Rylan’s celebrity friends also sent their good wishes, including his old This Morning colleagues Ruth Langsford and Vanessa Feltz.

"Speedy recovery son… sending lots of love," Langsford wrote.
