S Club 7 plan to reunite with 'credible' new music
S Club 7 are in talks to reunite and record their first new music in 20 years.
Tina Barrett, one of the pop group’s stars, has said that she and her former bandmates have been inspired by Steps’ recent revamp and are hoping to release some “credible” new music.
She told The Sun: “We definitely want to do something new together.

“We’re all older now so we could do something that reflects how we are now — not such a teeny-bopper sound, something more credible.”
Barrett added that everyone had enjoyed their anniversary tour in 2015 and now they were feeling inspired by Steps’ recent return to chart success, saying “we’d be silly not to”.
What an exciting week!!! HUGE thanks to everyone who supported our new album #WhatTheFutureHolds 💜🔮💜 Because of our incredible fans we are #2 in the @officialcharts UK album chart... Congrats to our friend @GaryBarlow on his number one! 👏 pic.twitter.com/qGB0bEywEN

She reckoned that all seven former group members were up for another crack at the charts, saying she was sure it would happen and that it was just a case of “getting it in the diary”.
Earlier this month, Steps, who enjoyed their first pop success at the same time as S Club 7, went to number two in the charts with their new album What the Future Holds.
Despite her fellow S Clubbers Hannah Spearritt and Paul Cattermole splitting up not long after their last tour, Barrett didn’t think it would make things awkward.
She said: “Hannah and Paul are both very professional so it’s fine. I know Paul is up for it.”
The tour in 2015 celebrated the group’s previous hits, but didn’t include any new music.
Spearritt has recently given birth to her second child, Cattermole talked about being unlucky in love in an appearance on First Dates, Barrett has just released a solo singe, and Jo O’Meara is working on an album for next year.
The group also includes Rachel Stevens, Bradley McIntosh, and Jon Lee.
