Saara Aalto leaves Simon Cowell for a new record deal
The X Factor's Saara Aalto has left Simon Cowell to sign a new record deal.
Speaking to The Sun, Saara confirmed: "I was honoured I was signed to Sony. But later I felt like they weren't the right team.
"When I met the people at Warner they were very excited about my style and making me into this big theatrical artist."
Fortunately, everything's still cool with Uncle Si, as Saara explained: "He knows. I'm doing X Factor Finland, so I'm still part of the Sony family."
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Saara – who came second to Matt Terry on The X Factor – was making a return to the programme in her home country of Finland.
"They haven't had The X Factor in Finland for 10 years. But because I was on it and it was such a hit, they decided to bring it back and have me as a judge," she explained.
"I'll be like Simon. I'm going to be quite strict because I'm very ambitious and I will see if the acts have ambition or not.
"If they don't, I will tell them they need to go. I know this business needs ambition and commitment."
Meanwhile, Simon is keen to get Cheryl back on The X Factor, according to Liam Payne, father of baby Bear.
Liam said: "Cheryl and Simon spoke about her going back next year," he said. "Obviously Simon is desperate to get her back."
