After the Golden Globes kicked off 2018 awards season in earnest, last night's Screen Actors Guild Awards 2018, aka the SAG Awards, kept things rolling.

Coming out on top in the movie categories was Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, with gongs for Female Actor (for Frances McDormand), Supporting Male Actor (for Sam Rockwell) and Ensemble.

It missed out on the Best Male Actor prize to Gary Oldman, who continues to pick up awards for his turn as Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour, and is seemingly plotting an unstoppable course to Oscar success.

In the TV categories, Veep won best Ensemble for Comedy Series with its star Julia Louis-Dreyfus winning the best Female Actor prize.

Big Little Lies also won a brace for the TV Movie/Miniseries category, with Best Actor awards for its leads Alexander Skarsgard and Nicole Kidman.

This Is Us also picked up two awards, for its Ensemble and for Best Actor for Sterling K Brown.
