Who Said What? The 2014 News Quiz

From the Ice Bucket Challenge to ISIS, 2014 was a busy year.

Ebola ransacked West Africa, Scotland almost broke off from the U.K., some 200 Nigerian schoolgirls were kidnapped by Boko Haram, Russia annexed Crimea, Narendra Modi became president of India, three Israeli teenagers went missing in the West Bank, Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down, Oscar Pistorius was found not guilty of murdering his girlfriend, Michael Brown was killed, Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi won the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, the European Space Agency landed on a comet, 43 Mexican students disappeared, and U.S. president Barack Obama went "cowboy" on Cuba. Still here? Good. All of this might be on the final exam.

The Atlantic has put together a quiz that will test not only your memory of this year's most captivating headlines, but also asks you to recall the main characters therein. Each of the 14 questions presents a quotation and asks you, dear reader, to match it to the speaker. It's your job to guess the orator as quickly as possible.
