Saira Khan returned to Loose Women this week after a solo holiday that obviously did her the world of good.

The star headed to the Juice Master retreat in Portugal, where she drank healthy juices, practiced yoga, soaked up the sun, worked out and went swimming.

Saira, who shares children Amara and Zach with hubby Steve Hyde, told how she relies on her “selfish” holiday once a year to recharge, reset and avoid burnout.

Sharing a post-holiday pic to Instagram, Saira wrote: "Face on and back to work today @loosewomen - join me and @lindarobson58 @andreamclean1 #janetsteetporter when we discuss my 'selfish holiday'."

Followers and friends were full of support for Saira's solo getaway, with Eamonn Holmes writing: "Selfish agrees with you 👏👏👏👍."

And one fan wrote: "Selfish holiday? We all need a break away from kids , hubby and dog. Does us the world of good. I always think I return a happier wife, mum and dog mum and that's a bonus for everyone xx."

Saira kept us up to date with her holiday routine online. She had a freeing moment where she shared a classy picture of herself enjoying the beautiful view from her balcony in just her bikini bottoms.

She also shared images of herself practising yoga accompanied by positive, life-affirming captions.

And there's been moments of overcoming fears, like jumping into water, which is not one of Saira's favourite things to do, but looks like great fun to us.

Overcoming your fears is not easy, but you can do it! This photo is proof that if you just believe in yourself, dig deep, and go for it, you can experience your life at a deeper level and find in you strength you never thought you had. I hate jumping into water, it fills me with dread, I hate the water going up my nose and I fear that if I can’t feel the bottom then I will panic. Here @juicemasterretreats there is a beautiful cool river and everyone jumps in it. They run along the platform with smiles on their face and splash into that beautiful water with screams of laughter. They make it look easy. I’m the one that stands there watching, dreading, heart racing and panic in my body. I wanted to be free of these feelings. I wanted to jump in like other people. I wanted to enjoy it. But yesterday with the help of my new found friends, some support and encouragement I did it. I still had that anxiety, that knot in my stomach - but thought fuck it! I visualised me jumping in the air, making a huge star sign, landing in that water, and feeling that cool river in the scorching heat. Here’s the result! I bloody well did it. I stood there, took a deep breath, let all my fears go, believed in myself, tapped into my positivity energy and took one of the best jumps of my life. I know everything and anything is possible if I put my mind into it - I just have to believe in myself. @jasonvale and @yogimomo have helped me this week to believe in my own energy. Happy Positive Friday everyone, look after yourself, don’t limit your opportunities and be open to change 🙏🏽 Photo by @sarahjanekarby #believeinyourself @figleavesofficial #whitebikini2020

We're here for the yearly solo holiday after Saira's lovely inspiration. Do watch out for government advice on travel corridors, as Portugal is not currently on the list and requires you to self-isolate upon return to the UK.
