Salisbury Trust for the Homeless is to raise much needed funds by holding a Summer Garden Party.

The party is to be held at The Salisbury Museum, one of the finest historic buildings within the Cathedral Close, on Friday, July 19 from 6pm to 8pm.

The museum is set to hold a grand opening in the coming weeks following a £5.1million renovation, which has seen the see the Grade I listed building "restored, renewed and repurposed".

Those attending the Garden Party will get free entry to the museum’s current exhibition ‘Rex Whistler: the Artist and his Patrons’.

Whistler, one of the most prolific and talented artists of the inter-war generation, was killed on active service in the Normandy campaign 80 years ago.

Funds raised will help Salisbury Trust for the Homeless, which, more than ever, is dependent on the generosity of the public.

Classical music from Musica Rustica will provide entertainment and a relaxed backdrop.

Tickets, which include a drink and canapés, cost £15 and can be purchased on the door.
