Salvation Army donations down for year, help needed

Dec. 14—MOSES LAKE — The Salvation Army is soliciting donations for its annual Christmas drive, citing a drop in donations both in Moses Lake and statewide.

The Christmas drive is funded in large part by the Red Kettle campaign, the familiar bell ringers seen around the community. As of Thursday, the campaign had raised about $10,255, according to a press release, but needed about an additional $20,000 to reach the goal.

Donations can be made in the Red Kettles by cash or check. People also can donate online at www.northwest.salvationarmy.org.
