Sam Thompson has shared a positive update with his fans after admitting to feeling lonely at home alone, while girlfriend Zara McDermott enjoyed a day out at Wimbledon.

The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here star took to his Instagram story with a video of himself looking downcast as he headed outside into the garden of his home to look for his sister, Louise Thompson.

During the tongue-in-cheek post, he shouted out for his 'neighbours' which just so happen to be his older sibling, her fiancé Ryan Libby and their son, Leo. Yelling over his fence into his sister’s garden, Sam said: "Hello, hello, Louise? Anybody?"

To his luck, the Instagram post shows he later found Louise outside - after climbing through a window and onto his roof to reach them. Sam said: "That window, over this roof, bish, bash, bosh."

He added: "There. We are part of the fam," as fellow ex-Made in Chelsea star Louise looked up with a smile on her face, waving at her younger brother before Leo copied and gave a wave to his uncle.

Then on Friday morning (July 5), Sam seemed in good spirits as he shared a video of himself talking to the camera as he walked to the gym. In the clip, he said: "It may be raining but it doesn't matter... It's going to be a great day!"

He added: "I'm never wrong. We're going to have a great day. You're going to have a great day!" He then captioned the clip to his 2.6 million followers: "Early morning gym session... been a while! You're going to have a great day. I can feel it," adding a red love heart emoji.

It comes after Sam broke his silence on claims he was left in tears during a recent awards bash. The radio, TV and podcast host was among the famous faces attending the 2024 Tric (Television and Radio Industries Club) Awards last week.

In pictures published by news outlets, Sam was spotted seemingly during an emotional exchange with his close friend Pete Wicks in the smoking area at London's Grosvenor House Hotel where the annual star-studded event took place.

The former Made in Chelsea star had appeared to break down in tears before Pete comforted him, however, Sam has now explained why he was so emotional amid rumours about his relationship with Zara McDermott being the cause.

Speaking on his podcast Staying Relevant, which he co-hosts with Pete, he revealed he had received some upsetting news that day but confirmed he wasn't in tears. "I wasn't crying, I wasn't actually crying. I just want to let everyone know that now," Sam started by saying.

"Look, there's no way of getting around it. I had actually received some bad news, so I actually was really sad, I'm not going to lie about it, but I was," he added.

Sam went on to explain that Pete took him around the back of the hotel to console him and provide a shoulder to cry on. "I let it go, I let it all out," the 31-year-old said. "I am head butting Pete's shoulder. I am caressed into his armpit and he is being such a good mate saying, 'I am always there for you blah blah blah' and I am feeling very sorry for myself."
