The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be even larger than the Galaxy S8+, according to new reports.

The handset, which is expected to launch this summer, has been tipped to feature a staggering 6.3-inch screen.

The S8+ has a 6.2-inch display and, during our time with the phone, we considered it to be unnecessarily large.

The S8+ is fantastic for watching films and TV shows on, but most people will struggle to reach the top parts of its screen while using the phone one-handed.

Samsung decided to dramatically increase the size of its flagship smartphones’ screens because of the attractive new ‘bezel-less’ design it introduced with the S8 and S8+.

It gives both phones an unusually high screen-to-body ratio and makes them more compact than others on the market.

The company is understood to have taken the same design approach with the Note 8 as it did with the S8 and S8+.

However, equipping it with a 6.3-inch screen will almost certainly cancel out the slimming effects of its shrunken frame and make the phone unwieldy anyway.

A video posted by technology tipster @mmddj_china this week claims to give us our first look at the phone’s front panel, but the clip gives nothing concrete away.

Reports suggesting that Samsung would retire the Note brand in the aftermath of last year’s Note 7 disaster proved wide of the mark.

The next addition to the range is likely to launch in September, but the company has a job on its hands convincing consumers to trust in the brand again.

Note 7 handsets started exploding soon after the phone's release, leading to a global recall and extremely heavy criticism.
