The day is finally here: Samsung is unveiling its new smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9+ at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

At the largest gathering of the mobile industry, the tech world will get to see the newest devices from the South Korean giant.

Despite Samsung's best efforts, there have been leaks aplenty ahead of the new phone. What we know so far is it will be coming in four colours: Midnight Black, Titanium Grey, Coral Blue and a new colour, Lilac Purple.

We know it's going to have a great camera. The Samsung Galaxy 9+, the larger of the two devices, is likely to have two 12-megaxpixel rear cameras. The cameras are expected to have a variable aperture mode of f/1.5 or f/2.4.

What that means is the new cameras are going to produce sharper images than we've ever seen before on a smartphone.

As well as the potential for Android Animoji, what else will the new phone reveal?

We'll have to wait for the event to kick off at 5pm (GMT) in Barcelona.
