Samuel Iling-Junior is said to want “guarantees” from Aston Villa before agreeing a transfer from Juventus.

Villa are understood to be close to agreeing a deal with the Italian club that will see Douglas Luiz leave Villa Park for Turin in a cash-plus-players deal. Villa are expected to receive up to €20m as well as Iling-Junior and Weston McKennie.

Both Iling-Junior and McKennie are said to be “open” about joining Villa this summer, but Tuttosport claim Iling-Junior is seeking assurances over playing time in the Premier League and will soon hold talks with Villa boss Unai Emery. McKennie is also said to be “pushing to reach an economic agreement” with Juventus before leaving the Serie A club.

Luiz is said to have already agreed personal terms on a four-year deal worth €5m a season at Juventus.

It comes amid claims Villa have enquired about Everton’s Amadou Onana. Villa and French giants PSG are both understood to have contacted Everton about the midfielder, who the Goodison Park club value in excess of £50m.
