Sarah Ferguson has put to rest rumours suggesting she might consider remarrying her ex-husband Prince Andrew. The pair became the Duke and Duchess of York after their wedding in 1986 but have maintained a close relationship since their separation in 1992 and subsequent divorce four years later.

Their lives are intricately linked not only through their two daughters, Princess Eugenie, 34, and Princess Beatrice, 35, but also by their grandchildren; August, three, and Ernest, one, Eugenie's sons, as well as Beatrice's daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, two.

Amidst persistent speculation about a possible reunion, Sarah, 64, has now rejected these rumours in her own words. In an interview with Bella Magazine, she said: "I get asked that all the time. We are very happy as we are now, thank you!"

During the conversation, Fergie also touched on the highs and lows of being part of the Royal family, saying: "Of course, being in the public eye constantly brings challenges, but also great privileges. I hope I have used whatever platform I have to bring about some good, particularly in terms of my charity work."

Sarah also admitted that over the years, she has developed a thicker skin, having been a "people-pleaser" in her younger days. She disclosed: "As I have got older, I have realised that you can't expect to please all of the people all of the time. When I walk into a room now, I accept that 50 per cent may like me and 50 per cent may not, and that's just fine," according to the Express.

Although her union with Andrew ended, Sarah continues to cohabit with him and retains a strong bond with the Royal family. After the demise of the Queen in 2022, she, along with Andrew, took on the caring role for her two Corgis, Sandy and Muiick.

Happily updating about the dogs, she revealed they are "very happy" and have connected well with Sarah's own Norfolk terriers. A tradition associated with the Queen's memory involving biscuit-snapping is enthusiastically kept alive by her with the dogs, reported the Mirror.

On another note, in April, Royal biographer Andrew Lownie spoke to the Daily Express US regarding his thoughts on why the former couple continue to live together, nearly thirty years post their separation.

He justified it and said: "The reason they are still living together is partly because they are still really good friends, and partly because they want to be good parents. She of course gets all the benefits and status of being still connected to the Royal Family. She can live at Royal Lodge for free, and enjoy all the benefits of cooks and staff, which gives her a certain status that is very important to her in terms of earning a living."
