Saved By The Bell’s Dustin Diamond Arrested After Probation Violation

Dustin Diamond – who played Screech in the iconic 90s sitcom Saved By The Bell – was arrested on Wednesday (May 25) after violating the terms of his probation.?

The 39-year-old was just released from prison a few weeks ago after he was sentenced to serve four months following a disorderly conduct conviction.

In 2014, the actor was accused of stabbing a man at a bar after his fiancee, Amber Schutz, was involved in an altercation with another woman.

Following the bar brawl, he was found guilty of disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon and spent the next three months behind bars.

An official at the Ozaukee County Jail said Diamond was in custody because of a ‘probation violation’ but couldn’t provide any further details at this time.

Just last week, Diamond gave his first post-jail interview to Extra host and former costar Mario Lopez, whereby he opened up about life in prison.?

He said: “It’s pretty daunting, it’s pretty scary going into that environment. I found that as long as you follow the rules and stay with the system, it works. You can get in and out unscathed.”

“I want to put the tomfoolery and malarkey behind me,” he added. “Time for a change.”

Diamond will now stay in jail until a violation investigation has been completed; if the incident is serious enough, the offender could have his parole revoked.
