I saw Anne-Marie at Forest Live Cannock Chase and one thing stood out to me

There is one thing that's immediately special about a Forest Live gig at Cannock Chase and that's the vibe. With such glorious summer weather you can't beat a picnic with some live music.

So armed with my camp chair, cool box and sunglasses, I was among the many happy revellers who pitched up on Thursday night (June 27) to prepare for an evening of great music.

This is such a chilled out affair. Groups of friends out together and families enjoying quality time. What really stood out to me was the amount of happiness in the air. Everyone was in such good spirits and the place was just buzzing.

To kick off the evening Synthpop artist Georgia brilliantly opened the show and gave away a few of her drumsticks to crowds at the front.

There was then a short break in which time a few bangers were played to get the crowd geared up for Anne-Marie.

Anne-Marie then came out onto the stage to kick off the final part of the evening.

She opened her set with Cuckoo, then moved onto 2002 which was a real crowd pleaser and wished everyone happy birthday whilst singing Birthday.

The 90 minute set ranged from some of her first ever tracks right up to songs that haven't been released yet. I was pretty blown away with her performance. I have never seen an artist perform the way she did. She is such an expressive performer and conveyed the feelings and emotions in each song with her eyes, hand gestures and facial expressions.

I was just in awe and on the edge of my seat invested in her performance.

Other up coming Forest Live events at Cannock Chase Forest include The Charlatans & Johnny Marr tonight (June 28) and Olly Murs on Sunday, June 29. Click here to see tickets.
