Scene of chaos as cars land on roof and side following south Manchester crash

This was the scene left behind after a dramatic crash on a Wythenshawe street. A grey Land Rover ended up on its side while a white car landed on its roof following the collision on Brownley Road at around 11.30pm last night (May 25).

Police, firefighters and paramedics were all called out to the scene. It's understood that no injuries were reported following the crash.

Brownley Road was closed off while emergency services worked at the scene. No arrests have been made.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just before 11.30pm last night (Friday, May 24) firefighters were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Brownley Road, Manchester. Two fire engines from Wythenshawe fire station arrived quickly at the scene, which involved two vehicles.

"Crews worked hard to make the scene safe. GMFRS were in attendance for 30 minutes.” The road has since fully reopened.
