'Scrubs' reunion takes a hilarious turn on 'Celebrity Family Feud'

Former stars of the hit sitcom Scrubs, Zach Braff and Donald Faison, appeared on Celebrity Family Feud Sunday, and though they ultimately won $25,000 for the organization Stop AAPI Hate, it was anything but a smooth ride. Facing off against their onscreen nemesis, Neil Flynn, who played the janitor on Scrubs, Braff, Faison and team breezed through the first part of the show. But it was in the lightning round that Faison had trouble from the start.

Asked to name an animal that would help other animals escape from the zoo if they were so inclined, Faison answered, “Alligator.” Both Braff and host Steve Harvey had something to say about that following the round. Braff went so far as to set aside the usual “Good answer” encouragement contestants normally give from their teammates, deciding instead to say, “Bad answer, bad answer.” But Faison had a hilarious defense for his indefensible answer.

ZACH BRAFF: An alligator?

DONALD FAISON: Yeah.

ZACH BRAFF: How the hell is an alligator helping anybody?

DONALD FAISON: It's long and it can freaking stretch with the tail and climb with the head. And everybody can climb up that bad boy. Don't hate on my answer, man.

STEVE HARVEY: You said in California, but--

DONALD FAISON: No, I said Los Angeles! No

STEVE HARVEY: I know, I know. I know. We're going to let it go though, I'm sure of that.

DONALD FAISON: I said Los Angeles.

STEVE HARVEY: I know what you said at first.
