The Crown, National Treasure, The Night Manager and Planet Earth II have been announced as the biggest winners at today's (April 23) British Academy Television Craft Awards.

The awards, which celebrate the best of Britain's behind-the-scenes TV talent, were handed out at a ceremony in London hosted by Stephen Mangan.

The Crown, which stars Claire Foy and Matt Smith as the Queen and Prince Philip in their younger years, picked up gongs for Costume Design and Special, Visual & Graphic Effects.

Tom Hiddleston-starring thriller The Night Manager, which was adapted from John le Carré's novel, was honoured in the Editing: Fiction and Sound: Fiction categories.

Drama National Treasure won for Director: Fiction and Original Music, while David Attenborough documentary Planet Earth II (Cities) received the Photography: Factual and Sound Factual awards.

There was also a win for Sally Wainwright, who picked up the gong for Writer: Drama for Happy Valley – her third BAFTA in the category and her fifth overall.

The Writer: Comedy award went to Stefan Golaszewski for Mum – bringing him his second BAFTA.

Meanwhile, the Breakthrough Talent award was handed to director Mahalia Belo for Ellen, while prop-master Bobby Warans won the BAFTA Special Award for his outstanding contribution to the industry.

He has worked on shows including Absolutely Fabulous, Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, French and Saunders and Harry Hill's TV Burp.
