Yahoo News See Kevin Bacon Make a Rare Red Carpet Appearance With His Wife and Kids
It's not often folks see Kevin Bacon pose for a public moment with wife Kyra Sedgwick, but the two had fans stirring with a rare appearance.
The married couple of 35 years was on hand for the June 24 premiere of Kevin's upcoming thriller MaXXXine (out in theaters on July 3), and he decided to make his public photo op a family moment. As he arrived with Kyra, the duo surprised folks by bringing along their daughter Sosie and their son Travis for the occasion.
As the foursome posed for the cameras, the Bacon family appeared color-coordinated for the event. Kevin opted for a pink suit, with a light grey collared shirt underneath the open jacket. Kyra embraced an edgier lookin a black leather mini dress, while Sosie rocked a similar vibe in an oversized sweater emblazoned with a photo of Dr. Frank-N-Furter from the 1975 cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show. As for Travis, he went simple with an all-black ensemble and a silver chain necklace.
Although this is the first time in a while followers have seen Kevin, Kyra and their kids all together for an event, it's not the only time the family has showcased their lives together. Kevin and Kyra often post photos and clips of each other on Instagram, and Kyra celebrated Father's Day on June 16 with a sweet throwback image of the family while on vacation.
"Simply The Best — love you so," she captioned the post.
If that wasn't enough, Kevin and Kyra will inevitably make another appearance sooner than folks may think.
Fans learned in January the duo will both star in the upcoming film Connescence, marking their first movie together in 20 years since starring in 2004's The Woodsman. According to Parade, the film will see Kevin portray a security guard who stops the home invasion of Kyra's character, sparking an unexpected camaraderie.
