There’s no doubt that Adele puts on an amazing show. I mean, she’s Adele. The Grammy-winning singer is currently in the middle of her “Weekends with Adele” Las Vegas residency, and in addition to putting on an unforgettable show for everyone lucky enough to be in the audience, she took time out of her performance to make the night truly one of a kind for a mom and daughter who were in attendance.

Alexandra Arguello posted a video that she shot from the audience of Adele walking through the crowd while singing her 2016 hit song, “When We Were Young.” While making the rounds through hundreds of adoring fans, Adele spotted someone special in the audience: a little girl dressed in a gown made to look like the singer’s black and white custom Schiaparelli haute couture gown designed by Daniel Roseberry.

Arguello wrote in the caption of the video, “Adele stopped to meet ‘mini Adele’ Needless to say Valentina and I had our dream come true! Unforgettable night with my little love.” The accompanying clip showed the singer and her smallest fan sharing a very special moment.

Adele smiles when she spots tiny Valencia swaying in the aisle, then pauses and stoops down to get as close as possible to Valencia’s height. While singing directly to her very young fan, Adele notices her mom filming and, conscious of the camera and wanting to make sure they both get a preserved memory they can look back on, makes sure to look into the lens and pose with Valencia.

“Hi! I love your dress,” Adele says in between lines of her song, before telling the little girl to “turn around” and face the camera so they can both get in the video’s frame together. Adele flashes a huge smile for Valencia’s filming mom, while Valencia looks a little starstruck. But who wouldn’t be in that situation?!

Role models can have a significant impact on a child’s development and growth. Children tend to imitate those they admire, so positive role models can help children learn how to behave in different situations, such as in school, relationships, and when making decisions. Role models can also help children develop important habits and perspectives that can last a lifetime. And, let’s be honest, we all look up to Adele and her immense talent!

However, children need to have a balanced perspective and diverse set of role models, including people they know personally. Parents and educators can help guide kids to think critically about celebrity culture.

At one of her residency shows last month, Adele told the crowd that she hopes to have a little girl of her own with her boyfriend, Rich Paul.

“Once I’m done with all of my obligations and all of my shows, I want to have a baby. And I want to have a girl because I’ve already got a boy,” she said. “With me as her mother and Rich as her father, my daughter’s going to be a bossy little queen, isn’t she?”

Nothing wrong with that!
