We really thought we'd seen the messiest reality TV show of the year with Married At First Sight Australia, but it turns out Selling The OC is coming to steal it's crown. Season three dropped on Netflix at the end of last week, and from threesome allegations, to Tyler and Alex Hall's on again/off again relationship, it was dramatic from start to finish. And perhaps one of the most savage parts of the new season was the ongoing feud between Alex Hall and Kayla Cardona.
These two Oppenheim Group agents have a long history of not getting along (remember in season one when they worked on a listing together?) but their relationship reached peak tension this season when Alex Hall bashed Kayla on a podcast, and then claimed she couldn't remember who she was talking about.
So what exactly happened between these two in season three? And what was the podcast Alex spoke about Kayla on? And where are they at now?

What's the history with Alex Hall and Kayla Cardona?
Cast your mind back to season one of Selling The OC in 2022 where Alex and Kayla had one of the biggest storylines.
Alex took Kayla under her wing and they worked together on a listing, however it didn't exactly work out well.
And things got even more strained between the pair after it was revealed Kayla had attempted to kiss then married Tyler Stanaland at a work party. Kayla has always stated Tyler was flirting with her. During promotion for the first series, Alex told ET Kayla had allegedly tried to "have sex" with Tyler on "multiple occasions" to the point it made him "uncomfortable".
Kayla later denied these allegations in an interview with Page Six, saying: "All I can really say to you is that it's not true. It is simply a lie. All of it. It just kind of went through one ear and out the other, to be honest with you. I just don't trust anything that comes out of her mouth." During that first season Kayla also accused Alex of being inappropriate with Tyler on the beach during a group outing.
Following the first season in an interview with People Alex said she thought Kayla needed a "reality check and maybe a psychiatrist."
And in season two the pair did not appear to get along well either.
What happened with Alex and Kayla in season three?
Things then went from bad to worse during the recently released season three. When the cast all attended a beach outing, fellow Oppenheim Group agent Ali Harper brought up a teaser for a podcast interview Alex Hall had done where she said one of the other agents, "needs to go to a mental institute.”
The group asked Alex who she was referring to, and Alex responded: “It has nothing to do with any of you. And if it did, I would say it to your face.” When pressed if it was about Kayla, Alex insisted it wasn't.
After the podcast was released in full agent Alexandra Jarvis played a sound bite out to Kayla in the office, where Alex is heard saying, "Kayla and I don’t speak. Uh, she’s bats*** crazy, um, off her f**kin’ rocker, like needs to be medicated.”
Ali Harper later confronted Alex about the podcast, claiming Alex had called Kayla "crazy" nine times. Alex claimed she had forgotten who she was speaking about and that she would address the comments with Kayla.
What was the podcast Alex spoke about Kayla on?
Yep, it's the question we all want answering, however it appears whichever podcast Alex appeared on has since been deleted.
In 2022, Alex did reference Kayla in an interview with People, where she said she thought Kayla needed a "reality check and maybe a psychiatrist."
Filming for season three took place at the end of 2023, and Alex did mention during her apology to Kayla was something she filmed last year (2022), so it's likely they could have been referencing this interview, but that has not been confirmed.
How did they end the season?
Following Alex's comments on the podcast, towards the end of season three she went to apologise to Kayla.
She said: "I wanted to talk to you about the podcast situation. I listened to the whole podcast, and I realised I'm speaking about you, but at the beach I wasn't intentionally trying to lie.
"That wasn't something I had filmed recently. It was something I recorded last year, so I forgot I was talking about you in particular."
Kayla did not believe Alex's comments and expressed how hurt she was by them. Alex went onto apologise saying: "I am sorry for everything that's transpired. everything I've done in the past. And I'm proposing to start from today with a clean slate."
While Kayla didn't agree straight away, the pair did agree to patch things up and bonded over their similar lives. They ended episode six and hugged it out.
So, things are good right?
Ummm, yeah not quite. Following the end of season three, Kayla has since revealed Alex has blocked her.
Speaking to US Weekly, Kayla said: "Well, I thought we did have a moment to start over, and after we wrapped up filming, she continued to speak badly about me. [She] ended up blocking me and a few other of my family members, which I found very odd. But yeah, I already knew that that apology was not genuine and it showed with her actions.”
Alex is yet to speak about where her relationship with Kayla is now.
