Who are Seventeen at Glastonbury 2024 and how many members are there?

They are arguably one of the biggest bands performing at Glastonbury Festival this weekend - but if you are not fan of K-Pop then you may never have heard of them.

Seventeen will perform on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm on Friday afternoon. But if you are watching them at home, or from Somerset, you may be wondering who they are and just how many members there are.

The South Korean boy band, which consists of 13 members, sold a staggering 10 million albums last year with the only other global artist selling more being Taylor Swift.

Since forming in 2015 they have released four studio albums and twelve EPs. Their biggest hits include Super, God of Music and Maestro.

The group has an enormous social media following with 15 million Instagram followers and nearly 600 million likes on TikTok. They get around 6.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

The name Seventeen comes from the express 13 members, three teams and one group. This represents that how the 13 members of the band are divided into three different teams and come together to form one cohesive group.

The hip hop team consists of S.Coups, Wonwoo , Mingyu and Vernon; in the vocal team is Jeonghan, Joshua, Woozi, DK / Dokyeom and Seungkwan; and the performance team Jun, Hoshi, The8 and Dino.

Seventeen have won numerous awards both in South Korea and internationally. At the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, they were nominated for Best New Artist and Best K-Pop and won Push Performance of the Year.

Seventeen will appear on the Pyramid Stage on Friday, June 28, between 2.45pm and 3.45pm.
