Several Injured in Salisbury Train Collision

At least 17 people were injured, and 13 taken to hospital, after two trains collided in Salisbury on October 31.

The Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said they evacuated approximately 100 people from the crash. There were no fatalities. Salisbury Hospital said three people remained in hospital, in a stable condition, on November 1.

According to news reports, one carriage derailed after hitting an object, and due to a damaged signal a second train crashed into it.

Great Western Railway said the line would remain closed as an investigation took place. Credit: Jayne Glass via Storyful
