Severe Storms Sweep Through Western New York

Severe storms swept through western New York, possibly generating a tornado, on Thursday, July 20. Video captured a funnel cloud, but the National Weather Service has not confirmed a tornado.

The storms caused damage throughout the area south of Buffalo, including downed trees. Travel advisories and bans were issued, according to a news report.
