Shamima Begum news: Daughter, 21, whose parents died in Manchester Arena bombing slams ISIS bride after she claimed attack was 'justified'

A woman whose parents died in the Manchester Arena bombing today said ISIS bride Shamima Begum must not return to the UK after the teen claimed the attack was "justified".

Alex Klis, lost her parents Angelika and Marin in the attack on the arena on May 22 2017.

Appearing on This Morning she said the 19-year-old “should just remain where she is.”

“I don’t think she’s been honest. The only reason she wants to come back is because she couldn’t stay where she was. She’s admitted herself that she had a good life there.

“She enjoyed it there. So I think what is the point of coming back if you enjoy it so much there.”

Ms Klis made the comments after the ISIS bride told reporters that air strikes in Syria “justified” the Manchester Arena bombing.

The 19-year-old who wants to return to Britain with her newborn baby said she felt the terror attack was part of a “two way thing really.”

Discussing the teenager’s comments. Ms Klis said: “I think she’s comparing two things that shouldn’t ever be compared.

“I think she’s saying that there’s fighters who are in the Islamic State getting killed and she’s comparing that. Those people go there knowing what to expect. They sacrificed their lives and they know what could happen.

“People who went to the Manchester Arena – they went there to take their kids to a concert. They went there thinking they were going to get home that night and tuck their kids into bed. And they would never expect something

Ms Begum was one of three teens who fled to Syria to join ISIS in 2015.

The then Bethnal Green schoolgirl was aged 15 when she left from Gatwick airport.

Begum's pleas to be allowed back to Britain have sparked a national row and been met with opposition in the UK.

However, her family has pleaded for her to be able to return.

On Tuesday, Begum's lawyer Tasnime Akunjee criticised her “disgraceful” claim that there was “fair justification” for the Manchester attack.

Prior to having her latest child, she had lost two children to illness and malnutrition.
