In his time behind the bar of EastEnders boozer The Queen Vic, Shane Richie surely saw some dodgy pints pulled - but none can have been as bad as the revolting drinks he was served in tonight’s I’m A Celebrity trial.

Richie, who played pub landlord Alfie Moon in the BBC soap, was trying to win dinner for camp alongside another Walford alumni, Jessica Plummer, but they must have been hoping for time to be called early on their stomach-churning drinking trial.

The unlucky pair were challenged to down glasses full of foul blended concoctions including bugs and animal parts, a trial favourite with viewers of the reality series.

Richie’s disgusting drinks included blended sheep’s testicle, pig’s vagina and sheep’s anus, while Plummer was given blended chicken feet, pig’s snout and vomit fruit.

Both of them had to knock back six glasses each to win the 12 stars needed for a full meal for camp.

Plummer, who had also taken part in another trial earlier in the day where bugs and snakes were tipped onto her during a massage, had said she would prefer the famous drinking trial to touching creepy crawlies again.

Other drinks for the campmates included fermented duck eggs, blended critters and liquidised cow’s heart for Richie, and blended fish eyes, fermented herring and blended goat’s penis for Plummer.

Unsurprisingly, there was a huge amount of gagging and both celebrities brought back up a number of their drinks.

Ant and Dec were left in fits of giggles at Richie and Plummer’s reactions, calling it the funniest trial they’d seen on the show and “a classic”.

One of their favourite moments was when Plummer appeared to spit her vomit fruit drink, dubbed Pro Sicko, back into the glass in slow motion because it was so vile.

The pair went back to camp triumphant with all 12 stars and were rewarded with a dinner of pheasant, which took a very long time to cook as the camp decided to boil it.

They all celebrated with another play of Giovanna Fletcher’s luxury item, S Club 7’s Reach, although Plummer was still being sick from the trial.

Unfortunately, she didn’t get to enjoy the pheasant because she felt so ill from the drinks that she needed an early night.

Richie will be back for tomorrow’s trial, Wicked Waterways, this time with Hollie Arnold by his side.
