Sheffield stabbing: Teenager fights for life as police make arrest after Oughtibridge attack

A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed in Sheffield .

South Yorkshire Police were called by the ambulance service to White Hart Lane, in Oughtibridge, at 9.09pm on Sunday, June 30. It is reported a 19-year-old man had been stabbed, receiving injuries to his abdomen. He is currently in hospital in a life-threatening condition.

It is also believed an attempted robbery took place on Knowles Avenue earlier in the day, which officers believe may be linked. A cordon was in place on White Hart Lane, with another on Knowles Avenue, while officers carried out forensic examinations.

Officers have arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of affray and he remains in police custody.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed either incident or has information or dashcam footage to come forward.
