“I am tired now. I want to rest. I can’t tell you right now what will happen in the future. Even then I will continue climbing next year... next year, one, two years.”

He climbed Everest using the traditional southeast ridge route, a Nepali tourism official said.

He first climbed Everest in 1994, and has done so almost every year since, except for three years when authorities closed the mountain for various reasons.
