Shorten Attacks ScoMo Over Climate Change 'Stupidity'

Bill Shorten’s choice of words made waves on April 18, after he referred to the Morrison government’s climate change campaign as “dishonest”, “stupid” and “malicious”.

The comments come after Shorten was criticised for his carbon credit policy, which has been calculated to cost taxpayers more than $25 billion by 2030.

During the Darwin press conference, in which Shorten made the comments, he stated his policy would ensure more than 50,000 jobs “in renewables”.

A Twitter user responded to Shorten’s presser, which he streamed on Periscope, writing: “Whose paying for this? Oh yes, everyone’s superannuation”.
