‘The Late Show’ Canceled This Week After Stephen Colbert Ruptures Appendix
The Late Show won’t air this week on CBS after Stephen Colbert had another medical emergency.
The comedian revealed that he is recovering from surgery for a ruptured appendix.

There was no show planned for tonight (Monday November 27) but there were shows planned for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
In fact, it was going to be a big week for Colbert as he had a phalanx of A-list guests including Barbara Streisand taking The Colbert Questionert. Other stars set to head to the Ed Sullivan Theater included Jennifer Garner and Baz Luhrmann on Tuesday and Patrick Stewart on Wednesday as well as an interview and performance from former bandleader Jon Batiste. On Thursday, Kelsey Grammer was swinging by to talk about the reboot of Frasier.
The Late Show is produced by CBS Studios and Colbert’s Spartina Productions with Colbert, Tom Purcell and Jon Stewart as exec producers.
