New Skegness McDonald's shows 'how it should be done' as Youtuber hails it the 'best ever'

A new McDonald's restaurant has recently opened on the Lincolnshire coast and a YouTuber claims it's the best he has ever had. The popular fast food chain has added another venue in Skegness, which is located at the retail park off Wainfleet Road.

It replaces the former Pizza Hut which closed down in 2023 and is now the second McDonald's in the coastal town alongside the Grand Parade site. A YouTuber who goes by the name 'NeilR Greatest Adventures' visited the new site just days after it opened and gave a raving review.

The restaurant was very busy when he turned up, so he ordered a Quarter Pounder meal with fries with table service. Impressed with the presentation of the food, he said: "It looks really good, which makes a change because McDonald's has gone down a little bit. These guys are showing how McDonald's should actually be. It actually looks like the photos outside."

After finishing his meal, he said: "I tell you what, that was really good. It's the first time I've been in the McDonald's on Wainfleet Road and it was superb. If it stays like that then good on them, they will get lots of customers.

"There is one in the middle of Skegness which is always packed jam solid. They've built this one which is brilliant for the people on the outskirts. If you're just travelling through or on the way home from Skegness then this is the one to come to.

"They haven't got a drive thru but you can takeaway and also sit down. I can't believe how good it was. I think that's the best McDonald's I've ever had in my life and I've had a lot of McDonald's as you can tell. I well recommend it."

The new McDonald's has created 80 full and part-time jobs for the community. It is open from 6am until 2am, seven days a week, and offers dine-in, takeaway, deliver and Click & Serve.
