Lois and Clark are back at the barn in the first official look at the Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths.

This winter's multi-night crossover will bring together heroes from across Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman and Black Lightning, but it will also incorporate other classic DC shows.

John Wesley Shipp from the Flash series in the 1990s will also appear (though he also plays Henry Allen and Earth-2 speedster Jay Garrick in the Arrowverse) — and Crisis on Infinite Earths will also bring Smallville into the Arrowverse for the first time.

Tom Welling is on board to reprise his role as Clark Kent from the early 2000s CW series as one of three Supermen in the crossover. The Arrowverse's Tyler Hoechlin will be back, while Superman Returns star Brandon Routh will play the Man of Steel again too (along with his Legends character Ray Palmer).

Welling started filming his scenes this week at the very familiar barn on the Kent family farm, where he ran into his old co-star Erica Durance (aka Lois Lane).

"So, I was just minding my own business, and I ran into this guy," Durance wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the two on set. "@tomwelling #Smallville #crisis #loisandclark. Laughed until I cried! So much fun."

Unfortunately, their old co-star Michael Rosenbaum recently announced that he would not be joining Crisis on Infinite Earths because he was not impressed with the way producers approached him.

"WB called my agents Friday afternoon when I was in Florida visiting my grandfather in a nursing home," he tweeted. "Their offer: no script. No idea what I'm doing. No idea when I'm shooting. Basically no money.

"And the real kick in the ass, 'We have to know now'. My simple answer was, 'Pass'. I think you can understand why. I hope this answers all of your questions. Lovingly, Rosenbaum."

His co-stars will return when Crisis on Infinite Earths premieres on December 8 with the Supergirl episode, followed by Batwoman on December 9 and The Flash on December 10. Post-Christmas, the series will then conclude with Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow straight after on January 14.
