I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Canopy by Hilton London, and the highlight of my trip was experiencing a sound bath on the summer solstice at their rooftop bar, Florattica.

This unique venue, open for just over a year, offers exceptional views of London and has quickly become a gem in the city’s skyline.

Upon arrival at the Canopy, I was struck by the hotel’s modern and stylish interior design. The lobby’s contemporary décor and warm ambiance set a welcoming tone, and the staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home.

My room, situated on the 10th floor, was nothing short of stunning. The huge, comfy bed was perfect for sinking into after a long day, and the blackout curtains ensured a restful night’s sleep.

The night before my sound bath experience, I dined at the rooftop bar Florattica. The gorgeous rooftop bar boasted seating that transitions into an expansive, heated outdoor terrace and had ceilings embellished with floral installations paying homage to East London's rich textile heritage and the intricate silk woven patterns of local 17th-century French Huguenots.

The dinner was nothing short of spectacular, and our lovely waitress for the evening, Jess, recommended some fruity and refreshing cocktails for me and my partner to taste as we anticipated our meal.

I started with the Prawns and Lobster Mini Sliders, served with shellfish mayonnaise, pickles, and baby lettuce. Each bite was a delightful burst of flavors, fresh and perfectly seasoned. Following this, I had the Crab Tortelloni, which came with a rich mussels’ cream and was topped with celery cress. The pasta was delicate, and the filling was a creamy, savory delight that left me wanting more.

The next morning, I indulged in a one-hour sound bath experience at Florattica. This experience was unlike anything I had done before and left me feeling relaxed and refreshed, especially because I dozed off into sleep for the last half hour.

The serene environment, combined with the soothing sounds, made for a deeply meditative experience that left me feeling rejuvenated. Celebrating the summer solstice in such a tranquil setting was truly special.

After the sound bath, I enjoyed breakfast on the hotel’s rooftop terrace along with the other sound-bath goers and basked in the morning sunshine. The breakfast offerings were as impressive as the rest of my stay. I had posh avocado on toast and smoked salmon on toast, both beautifully presented and delicious. The variety of colourful fruits, porridges, and pastries added to the luxurious feel of the meal.

The staff at Canopy by Hilton were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. From check-in to check-out, they made sure I felt welcomed and attended to any needs with a smile. Their genuine hospitality added a personal touch that made my stay even more memorable.

Overall, my stay at Canopy by Hilton London was exceptional. The combination of modern luxury, warm service, and delightful dining experiences, topped with the unique sound bath at Florattica, made for an unforgettable trip.
