Soccer Aid 2024: TV start time, kick-off, channel and teams

It's that time of year again and as we prepare for Euros fever to sweep that nation, there's the small matter of a very big charity match with celebrities and sporting legends take to the one of the most famous stadiums in the country.

We can only be talking about Soccer Aid and England and World XI FC are set to go head-to-head once more on Sunday (June 9). The competition will be hotter than ever as England try and claw back a win for the first time in a few years.

Created by Robbie Williams in 2006, Soccer Aid for UNICEF brings the nation together to help children worldwide have the best possible start in life, so far raising more than £90 million.

The World XI FC side took the win last year when the event took place at Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United, now making it five wins to seven. This year, the competition is heading back down south and will once again see former footballers, singers, actors, and more are set to take to the pitch at Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea FC.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here winner Sam Thompson and EastEnders star and Strictly Come Dancing finalist Bobby Brazier will their Soccer Aid debuts, as will , former world cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew, England cricket star Stuart Broad, Gladiator's Diamond and The Crown star Erin Doherty.

Soccer Aid will once again be raising money for UNICEF to help with its mission of providing vaccines, tackling malnutrition and protecting children in times of crisis, such as war and other disasters. This year the Children's Investment Fund Foundation will double every donation made to Soccer Aid for UNICEF, up to £4 million. The money raised will help children get the nutrition they need to grow up healthy, strong and able to play.

What time does it kick off and where can I watch it?

The Soccer Aid 2024 match will kick off at 7.30pm though the show starts a little earlier at 6pm with plenty of build-up to the big match. Those who can't get to the match can watch it on ITV and ITVX on Sunday, June 9.

Who is presenting and commentating on Soccer Aid 2024?

Dermot O'Leary and Alex Scott will once again be presenting the live coverage, whilst broadcaster Sam Matterface will return as a commentator, with Love Island narrator Iain Stirling on co-comms duty.

Mauricio Pochettino, who recently left as manager of Chelsea, will be taking charge of World XI and he will have Jesus Perez alongside him as a coach.
