Social-Distance Bingo Entertains Residents of Dublin Apartment Block

Residents of an apartment block in Dublin, Ireland, were entertained on March 20 by a special game of bingo that allowed them to play while following “social distancing” recommendations to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

In the video, a man calls out bingo numbers to residents standing outside their front doors.

Liz Cassidy, who shared footage of the game while taking part with her children, said there were chocolate easter eggs as prizes and a strict “stay at one’s own door policy.”

Ireland has implemented lockdown measures to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, including an order for all pubs, restaurants, and social gathering spaces to be closed until at least the end of March.

With a total of 683 cases, including three deaths, Ireland now has more than twice as many confirmed COVID-19 infections per million as both the UK and the US. Credit: Liz Cassidy via Storyful
