Soho Food Feast: line-up revealed for celebrated food festival, now in its 12th year

This year marks the 12th anniversary of the Soho Food Feast, which returns to Soho, London’s dining epicentre, in June.

Some of London’s most popular and acclaimed restaurants are slated to feature at the festival, including BAO, Brindisa, Cecconi’s, Andrew Edmunds, Flat Iron, 10 Greek Street and Margot Henderson’s own Rochelle Canteen.

Founded by Henderson in 2012 to raise funds for the Soho Parish Primary School, the food festival welcomes chefs to St Anne’s Church, where a series of food stalls, cooking demos, panels and workshops take place across the weekend.

The popular restaurant founded by Fin and Lorcan Spiteri, Caravel, is also set to feature, alongside Soho’s Ember Yard and chef Tom Cenci’s restaurants at at 1 Warwick, including his new Middle Eastern-inspired rooftop fixture, Yasmin.

Before things kick off on June 8, Henderson is set to host an exclusive preview dinner at St. Anne’s Church Gardens with a series of guest chefs, each cooking a dish to form part of a specially curated six-course menu.

Guests for this ticketed dinner include Neil Borthwick of the French House, Rambutan founder Cynthia Shanmugalingam, Brad Carter of the soon-to-open Undercroft in Mayfair, Budgie Montoya from Apoy in Peckham, Kiln head chef Meedu Saad, and leading baker Claire Ptak.

Founder of homewares store Glassette, Laura Jackson, is set to co-host this evening with Henderson.

Henderson said: “Soho Food Feast is so close to my heart — my children went to Soho Parish Primary School — and I love how over the years it has brought together industry friends and colleagues, true Soho characters, food lovers and families too.

“This year, the festival is going to be bigger and better than ever, with a really diverse group of restaurants and chefs cooking fantastic food and drink”.
