A FOOTPATH closure on Southend seafront is among six new public notices across south Essex this week.

The footpath from Shorefield Road to Western Esplanade, in Westcliff, will be closure from Monday, June 24, to Friday, June 28 while UK Power Network complete cabling works.

Daws Heath Road in Rayleigh will be shut from its junction with the A127 to Wyburns Avenue next month.

The closure will be in place for three days from July 8  while carriageway patching works are carried out by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via the A127, Progress Road, Rayleigh Road, Eastwood Road and Daws Heath Road.


Carriageway patching works are also set to start in Ballards Walk, Laindon.

This will close the road from Woolmer Green to Markhams Chase for three days from Monday while the works are carried out.

An alternative route is available via Ballards Walk, Markhams Chase, Great Knightleys and vice versa.


Barleylands Road will close from its junction with Wash Road in Billericay while Openreach undertakes cabling works.

The closure will be in place from 8pm until 5am on Monday and Tuesday while the works are carried out.

An alternative route is available via Wash Road, Hardings Elms Road, Crays Hill, Southend Road, Barleylands Road and vice versa.


Hatley Gardens is closing from its junction with West Green to its junction with High Road on July 15 for five days.

This is while carriageway patching works take place.

Drivers will be diverted via Hatley Gardens, London Road, High Road and vice versa.

 


Essex and Suffolk Water is set to start pipe repairs in Little Wakering Road, Barling Magna.

This will close the road from Church Road for five days from July 8.

Diversions will be via Little Wakering Road, Barling Road, Silchester Corner, Southend Road, Little Wakering Road and vice versa.
